Red Roses head coach Simon Middleton is looking forward to seeing some of the youthful players in the squad make an impact in the Old Mutual Wealth Series.

England face Canada over three Tests in November and Middleton has included seven uncapped players in his 28-woman squad in Jo Brown, Jess Breach, Abigail Dow, Zoe Harrison, Ellie Kildunne, Caity Mattinson and Lagi Tuima.

All over them were part of an extended training squad that met at Bisham Abbey and had game time in two international training matches against South Africa in Aldershot.

“We’ve just spent a week with quite a few of them and they’re not short on skill and athleticism,” said Middleton.
