Tynedale lost out by six converted tries to three in a competitive, entertaining pre-season practice match at Darlington.
The match, which was played on one of Mowden's "outside" pitches, was played in front of a decent size crowd on a sunny (almost hot!) blustery day and proved a very useful exercise for both squads (and the officials) with a reasonable tempo, plenty of physical contact and no apparent significant injuries.

The scheduled Raiders fixture at Darlington MP was unfortunately cancelled.
The Raiders have, however, secured a fixture next Saturday at Ryton when they will take part in a Round Robin Tournament.
