Jobling Wealth Management Supports Club Tour to Canada

Ahead of the Club Tour to Canada in May 2024, we’re delighted to welcome Jobling Wealth Management as principal sponsor of the Tour.

The family run practice, based in Prestwick near Ponteland, manages their clients’ financial futures with their strong family values at the centre of what they do.
A St James Place Partner, the company is headed by Joe Jobling (DipPFS), who has over 25 years’ experience working within Financial Services. The company prides itself on making long standing relationships with their clients & much of their new business is as a consequence of referrals from current clients.

Joe has a long connection within Rugby too. The former front-row forward at Ponteland RFC has coaches his sons through their youth at Novocastrians RFC too.

Joe said ‘We, as a business are always keen to support local sport at the grass roots level.
Many years ago I played rugby myself and believe the sport to be second to none in creating long lasting friendships which have also helped me in the business world.
Upon hearing about the tour we wanted to assist in helping it be accessible to as many as possible.
Myself and Hugh have strong links to the Tyne valley so supporting the tour was somewhat of an easy decision and also shamelessly assists in raising our profile within the area
.'

The sponsorship will go directly towards subsidising the price the club players will pay to attend the tour, extending the opportunity to travel to as many as possible.
In all, 47 players and supporters will depart for Toronto on 10th May.

During the tour, the team will play game at The Crusaders Club in Oakville, a club Tynedale played against on their 1986 Tour. In Ottawa, the lads will play Barrhaven Scottish, before ending at Brantford Harlequins, the current Champion Club of Ontario.

Off the field, the group will watch Major League Baseball at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, go White Water Rafting on the Ottawa River & spend the day exploring the Vinyards in Niagara.

If you’d like to support the Tour to Canada, there is still the opportunity to do so. The now infamous Cow Pat Challenge will take place on 13th April at Tynedale Park, immediately after the last home 1st XV match of the season against Sheffield Tigers. Raffle Tickets for the Cow Pat Challenge are available at the Club’s 1876 Bar and from any tourist.

There is also a promise auction taking place online with over 30 fantastic lots to bid on. Keep an eye on the club website & social media outlets for more information.
