Report taken from 'The Rugby Paper':-
A superb performance in gale-force conditions saw Tynedale register their first ever league victory over the Titans.
It was a great day for Tynedale's fly-half Jake Rodgers, who contributed 14 points with a try, a penalty and three conversions.
With the wind behind them in the first half, Rotherham dominated territorially, but were unable to break through Tynedale's magnificent defence.
Tynedale opened the scoring after 14 minutes when centre Will Miller celebrated his return from injury by touching down in a rare visit to Titans territory. Rodgers converted but the visitors were level when a good kick led to scrum-half Sam Boxhall dotting down for Lloyd Hayes to level from the tee.
The Titans pounded the Tynedale line for the remainder of the half to no avail and it was only a Hayes penalty on the stroke of half-time that put them 10-7 in front.
Skipper Chris Wearmouth was driven over from a lineout six minutes into the second half to put Tynedale ahead and a Rogers penalty extended their lead to 17-10 after 70 minutes.
However, the visitors staged a grandstand finish but, in the tenth minute of added time it was Tynedale's Rodgers who latched on to a loose ball in his own half and touched down under the posts.
