Report taken from 'The Rugby Paper':-
Rotherham inflicted a first defeat of the season on Tynedale in a much more competitive encounter than the scoreline suggests.
The titans did the spadework in the opening quarter, running up a 31-0 lead, but the visitors made them graft hard for points after that and "won" the second half.
The home team broke through inside two minutes when a lineout steal ended with Corben Ollivent going in at the corner. Ollivent then turned provider, off-loading for Callum Bustin to dot down next to the sticks.
The leagues top point scorer, Lloyd Hayes, tagged on the conversions and a penalty for the hosts and then popped up a pass for new signing Australian Fraser Jones, to score on his debut.
Tynedale were struggling to get out of their own 22 and rampant Rotherham's four-try bonus point was banked after 21 minutes when Bustin seized on a fumble to cross.
The visitors from Northumberland with three straight wins coming into this one, at last enjoyed some territory and ball late in the half only to run into a steely defensive wall.
Titans lost skipper Zak Poole to the sin bin either side of the interval and after Hayes slotted a penalty to increase their advantage to 34 points they were given a thorough workout by the spirited visitors.
Their score from a tap and go by back row Ben Bell, converted by Will Roue, was the least they deserved before Rotherham had the final say from the boot of Hayes.
