Tynedale are back down the M6 this Saturday when they make the relatively short journey (around 2 hours) to play Preston Grasshoppers on their artificial pitch. The lads will be looking for that elusive away victory after five successive away defeats but know they will face a very tough, physical encounter against a Hoppers side who have struggled, like a lot of teams, to achieve any consistency this season.

In the match between the two sides at Tynedale Park on October 19th Tyne recorded their first home victory of the season with a 34-5 victory – gaining a fourth bonus-point try in the last play of the match.
That match was marred by a worrying injury to Hoppers centre Alex Hurst with play held up for over 30 minutes as Alex was tended to on the field – thankfully Alex has made a full recovery and was back in the Hoppers 1stXV four weeks later.
