Report from "The Rugby Paper":-
Blaydon old boy Chris Wearmouth scored twice but it wasn't to earn Tynedale an away win.
The hosts got off to a phenomenal start with a fantastic try by Nathan Bailey in the first minute, created by a great Jonny Ashman break.
Eight minutes later a chargedown on the Tyne 22 led to five minutes of Blaydon pressure and Ethan Clark crossed the line. Both tries were converted by Nathan Horsfall.
After 14 minutes it was Tynedale's turn to attack and eventually Wearmouth went over from close range and James blackett converted.
The remaining 25 minutes of the half was a war of attrition . Tynedale's hooker Dan Lowdon went over but he was brilliantly held up by James Cooney.
After the break superb Blaydon defence kept Tynedale at bay, while Horsfall missed with a 65th minute penalty attempt.
Five minutes later the deadlock was broken with a brilliant backs move. Ashman broke the Tynedale line and Austin Phillips was on hand to score.
Two minutes later Tynedale kicked to the corner and a catch and drive led to Wearmouth scoring his second try, converted by Blackett.
