Report taken from 'The Rugby Paper':-
Bournville emerged victorious in what proved a highly entertaining encounter in hot conditions.
Tyndale scored with their first possession as centre Miller hit a great line after a clear lineout. Leslie added the points for the early lead.
Bourns replied magnificently with three creative tries in the next 15 minutes.
With a penalty advantage, a chip ahead was gathered and off-loaded to winger Ethan Walker.
The second came from a box kick that bounced, Bourns gathered and Ed Drake-Lee scored on the other wing.
The third came from several controlled phases as space was exploited and Max Craven went in under the posts. McGahan kicked two conversions to make it 19-7.
Tynedale then had the better of the next quarter, scoring four tries in very quick succession from forward drives to open play with tries from Bell, Blackburn, Todhunter and Ward with Leslie converting two of them to hold a 31-19 lead.
Bourns had the last say of the first half when lock Harry Dawson finished off a set of phases, McGahan converted to make it 31-26 at the break.
The second half was quite different as defences on both sides won the day to stop each team's attacking intentions.
Bourns started to work the scrum and penalties were coming. McGahan converted penalty after 55 minutes before the drama at the end.
After 73 minutes McGahan missed a 40m penalty chance, then Tynedale lock Graeme Dunn suffered an injury just before the end of the game. (Thankfully Graeme was later declared 'fit and well' and was able to return home with the Tynedale party).
After a long delay play resumed and to great plays from deep by the Bourns defence enabled centre Oscar Clayton to score a fabulous try converted by Mitch for a 36-31 Bourns lead.
And, after the kick off, a penalty signalled the victory, which was hard fought against a strong Tynedale side.
